Thanks to its newly acquired pollution control equipment, the CDLM can now intervene in the event of damage or accidents at sea. Its equipment consists of a floating boom boat and suction equipment (skimming). The CDLM was therefore able to intervene when the ship Almadraba Uno sank in the Madeleines Island reserve, by pumping out the hydrocarbon deposit inside the ship.
